Ramberg - About Castles and Brush-makers

Pure nature and well-marked hiking paths develop the castles Ramburg, Meistersel and Neuscharfeneck which are nearly the "Orensberg" with it's Celtic ring wall and sacrifical bowl. A lot of managed forest huts provided hikes and recreation at any distance.

It's absolutely recommendable to take a hike on the Palatinate Chestnut Path during blossom (most likely in June) and autumn for collecting chestnuts. What nowadays is a pleasure for hikers, was a hard job for the craftsmen who had to take this way to the weekly market in Landau. The local -and brush-makers museum is another attraction of Ramberg.

Fanciers call this officially recognised health resort "pearl of the southern wine route area". The gastronomy in the village is rich in varieties and reflects the palatinate comfort and lifestyle.

Come to see an original exhibition of a local brush-maker and inform yourself by knowledgeable guided tours about production, trade and sales of brooms and brushes.

We would like to invite you to our "Bürstenbinderkerwe", which takes place every second sunday of July. It reminds of travelling brush-makers coming home on their way year-round to participate in "their" fair.
