The holiday region Trifelsland is an ideal starting point for hiking tours through untouched nature. Nordic Walking paths for beginners and advancers pass nice parcs and woods. They allow the holidaymakers to discover the fascinating beauty of the Palatinate forest, with it's castles and rocks, romantic creek valleys and rolling vineyards - pure nature!

A lot of castles and ruins are to reach on well-marked hiking paths. They offer breathtaking views at woods and winelandscapes. Many forest huts invite you to stay a while and enjoy palatinate specialities as well as great palatinate wine.

Since 2011 the certified hiking paths "Pfälzer Weinsteig", "Pfälzer Hüttentour" and "Annweilerer Burgenweg" are available.

"Hike and Wine" is a special offer. For 129,-€ each you discover the Trifelsland for three days. It includes wine tasting, a visit in the museum and a trip to the castles. You will learn everything about Annweiler's history and the people who have been living here.

The "Burgenwanderung" to the castle Trifels, Anebos and Münz, as well as Neuscharfeneck and Ramburg, is an offer you shouldn't let pass by. Also a hiking tour to the "Trift" plant (Rinnthal) is very interesting.

Retrace the footsteps of the monks between Eußerthal, Gräfenhausen and Annweiler. In Gräfenhausen the "Burgunderweg" is also interesting and informs about the tradition around the cultivation of pinot noir.

Great views are preprogrammed at the wine hiking tour around Albersweiler. Afterwards you can enjoy a wine tasting in one of Albersweiler's "Winzerhöfen" and learn more about that noble plant and also discover your favourite.

It is recommended that you take a trip along the southern wine route and to Alsace. The natural and wildlifeparc in Silz is also a popular excursion destination. More than 400 animals can be watched at this 100 hectare huge area. Without fences, reed deers and elks will pass you. But also bisons, moufflons, snowy owls and wolves call this place their home.
